Jane Carney trained in Liverpool
as a Science and Outdoor Education Teacher. She has been
climbing independently for 18 years, regularly visiting
the Alps, Scotland, Wales, Spain and has extensively explored
the Irish mountain regions. Her major expeditions include
Greenland and Alaska.
With over 10 years teaching and instructional experience
in Britain, Ireland and Europe and working for both of Ireland's
National Centres, Tollymore and Tiglin, Jane set up on her
own in 2000.
For the past nine years Jane Carney Instruction has gone
from strength to strength, satisfying both a regular clientele
(they keep coming back for more!) who wish to improve their
skills, the beginner who wants confidence with the basics
and the groups (schools, clubs or companies) who are looking
for that other dynamic to improve team skills in a fun and
challenging environment.
All our Award Schemes are run with the approval of the Irish
Mountain Training Board (BOS) and adhere to the syllabus
of the Award. The Award Schemes are recognised across the
UK and Ireland as the minimum standard for instructors and
leaders of rock climbing and hill walking.
All of our instructors hold the required level of qualification,
or higher, to work on our programs.
